SESSION INFORMATION
Our 2023/2024 season will run on Tuesday and Thursday nights starting October 17, 2023 through to March 28, 2024.

Our year end carnival is scheduled for March 28, 2024.

NEW SCHEDULE
Our nightly schedule has changed. As our club continues to grow we have decided to make the change to have three sessions to accommodate all levels of CanSkate and StarSkate. Our new schedule will allow our younger skaters to be finished earlier and make it easier for our older skaters to volunteer for CanSkate. Additionally, since our group of figure skaters is growing we have added extra ice time to ensure everyone's safety on the ice by eliminating some overlap of groups. We are very excited to see how this will help our club support all skaters.
The new schedule will be as follows:

Intro to Figure Skating - 4:30-5:20 p.m.
Pre CanSkate - 5:30-6:00 p.m.
CanSkate - 5:30-6:15 p.m.
StarSkate - 6:25-7:50 p.m.

REGISTRATION
The Bobcaygeon Skating Club has been working to implement a new registration system this year. This system will allow us to have a seamless registration and it should help to answer questions we would typically receive in the past.


CREATING AN ACCOUNT
You will be required to set up an account. This can be done by clicking the “Login” button at the top right corner of the screen. There will be a pop up that will ask you to login or create a new account. Once you have created your account you will need you to add a skater. fA parent/guardian will hold the account and can add multiple skaters. If you have created a username for other UpLifter registrations you will need to create a new one specifically for the Bobcaygeon Skating Club Registration.


SELECTING A PROGRAM
Programs are listed by day. If you wish to skate on both of the days offered then you will add your skater to each of those programs. Once both days are in your cart, a discount will automatically be applied for the two nights. Fees this year are listed below. Please note the $75 fundraising fee and the $58.70 Skate Canada Fee are in addition to the registration cost.
Pre CanSkate one night $325, two nights $475
CanSkate one night $365, two nights $500
Intro to Figure Skating one night $400, two nights $525
Figure Skating one night $500, two nights $675


PAYMENTS
We will no longer be accepting any form of payment other than credit card. All fees will be summarized in an invoice and paid online through the registration system. Our club would appreciate if you can please pay the full registration cost upfront. There are fees associated with the payment plan option but we understand it may not be possible for all families and therefore we have implemented a three payment option. All fees must be received by December 1, 2023.


VOLUNTEERING CREDIT
As in past years if volunteer requirements are met, a credit will either be applied to your account or refunded to the card that made the initial payment.

Registration will open August 16th, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.
There is a limit to the number of skaters allowed on the ice for each session. We highly recommend registering early to avoid disappointment.

 Hello Skating Families, 

We hope everyone is staying safe and enjoying their summer break!

We have scheduled the Annual AGM for Wednesday August 18th, 2020 at 7:00 pm in the Bobcaygeon Arena parking lot.. 

Please bring a chair and we will be respecting physical distancing guidelines. 

This year we are excited to announce that we will be returning to the Bobcaygeon Arena.  We still face challenges due to COVID restrictions but are very happy to be home.  

This year's season will run from October 12th, 2021 - April 1st, 2022 with the hopes of having a carnival on April 1st.  There will be no skating over Christmas (December 20- January 2) or March Break (March 14 to 18). 

All of this being said, The Executive needs your help. We have many positions available and we need volunteers to keep moving forward. We are looking for the following positions to be filled:

-President 

-Vice President

-Test Chair

-CanSkate Coordinator

-Directors

-COVID Reps

-Fundraiser Reps

If you are not able to attend, we would also very much appreciate an email to let us know that you are interested in having your child return to skating with us this Fall. We are still sorting out pricing and this will help us greatly.

COVID-19 Pre Screening Form

 We are super excited to announce that all skaters, coaches and visitors are now able to pre screen before coming to the rink.

The process takes less than a minute and will help ensure our club is in compliance with Skate Canada and the City of Kawartha Lakes. It will also help speed up the process at the door and allow parents/guardians to complete the process even if their skaters have alternate travel arrangements to the rink. 

Complete the questionnaire by finding the participants name and answering the questions and then click “submit”. If you are entering the rink to tie skates please also complete the questionnaire and enter your name. If your name is not on the drop down menu scroll to the bottom and find “I am not on the list” and it will allow you to add your name manually. 

THE QUESTIONS MUST BE COMPLETED ON THE DAY OF THE ACTIVITY.

FALL SESSION COST:

Intro to Figure Skating            $143 (plus Skate Canada fee if not previously registered)

Figure Skating:                        $195 (plus Skate Canada fee if not previously registered)

Private, semi-private or small group lessons are recommended for all skaters on 

figure skating ice, and are required if your skater wishes to compete in any competition. 

Private or semi-private lessons may still be arranged but you must do that with a coach directly yourself, and make payments directly to the coaches. These should be arranged before the season begins, as the coaches schedules may fill up fast. Fees are set by the coaches.
